Sorry for this silly question:The shabbat is still observed by the israelis?
No question is silly!

Shabbat is observed by Jewish people all over the world by those who choose to do so, not just Israeli's.

That's probably in the millions and it has been observed consistently since biblical times.

There is a saying that goes like this -

Not only has the Jewish people kept the Sabbath, the Sabbath has kept the Jewish people.

Or something like that.
“More than Jews have kept Shabbat, Shabbat has kept the Jews” - Ahad Ha’am

If you are not familiar with this major early Zionist thinker, look him up.
My partner and I live in the US, and she kind of still adheres to Shabbat, while I don't at all.  I think I stopped adhering to it, because my profession forced me to work quite frequently on Saturdays.
When I lived in Tel Aviv, most of the life went on like on any other day, while the situation was different in Jerusalem.

Yes, Tel Aviv is a bit different than Jerusalem!
