Is the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) mentioned in the Tanakh?
In the Bible, the new year begins on the first of Nisan, two weeks before Passover. What we call the first month now (Tishrei) was the seventh month in the biblical reckoning.
Actually, and correct me if I am wrong, there are several what are called "New Years" in Judaism.
