Om Asih.Torah came across a story of a man whose ancestors were "obliged" to convert out of Judaism.....only lately did he learn of this and he came back to the Jewish nation.. twas only 500 years difference....his ancesotrs left and he came back...
My self has a similar story...one root of the family tree goes back to Adam and Eve...Cohans and House of King David... down to the Exhilarhs scholars.....only mine converted by choice...twas 900 years ago....I offen wonder the road not traveled....what kind of Jewish person I would have been,,,,,probably a modern conservative sephardic ortahdox....soon as I learned a profession..I gone up to Israel....marry...as to politics always trust the L-d and his word....first...last..always.....treat all Jewish refugees....from Arab states as fellow brethern....
