I agree, not happy to see people playing with DNA and possibly altering genes and stuff like that.
I realize there may be a good purpose for it if it helps with our health, but for some reason I think it may one day come back to bite us.
Maybe not, but I think it's a slippery slope.

There are always some who think nothing of compromising ethics.
Every invention and scientific discovery is potentially subject to abuse.
Wasn't it Einstein who once said, "World War IV will be fought using sticks and stones"?
