Why didn't Judaism become an universalistic religion? - Avis Glauca - 01-16-2023 Since Judaism is based on a Divine Revelation, why didn't the Prophets starting with Abraham and Moses preach to all other nations of the Earth. Was it to preach to other nations or to obey His commands, set an example and educate/teach others? Why would you think "outsiders are damned to hell"? Especially since hell doesn't exist in Judaism, at least how the other nations believe it to be.
