I was watching the Jewish TV channel and there was an older gentleman who professed to be a jew and he said he does not believe a greater power was watching down on him. The jewish commentator agreed with him. I thought Jews believe in GoD, creator of the universe.

Well, it's not so straight forward.
Being Jewish doesn't necessarily mean one believes in G-d or if they do, how they do.
There are many atheist Jewish people.
Now if you said observant Jew or one who follows Torah (which is another whole topic itself), then they should and would most likely believe in G-d.

I sent them an email (https://www.jewishtvchannel.com/contact/) asking if they also reflect those Jews who believe in God, however although the displayed confirmation said:
'Form submitted successfully.
A confirmation email was sent to [**]',
no such email has (so far) been received (and I checked the Spam folder too); which does not indicate well that a proper reply will be received!
