Can anyone translate this for me please? - mpatete - 03-15-2019

The person in the picture is not me.

From my understanding it is suppose to translate to "Impossible Is Nothing"

1. Was wondering if its accurate?
2. How would one pronounce it?

thank you!

That's a mess!!!!

The word יא means "oh," like if you say, "oh, Lord!" It's used for calling someone's attention. It could be translated as "you" in English, as if "You idiot!" (which is appropriate to this situation). It actually comes from Arabic and isn't Hebrew.

The second word doesn't exist.

The word מאומה means "nothing."

The phrase has no meaning, and the second word has no pronunciation (because it doesn't exist).

I'm reminded of this scene from The Big Bang Theory:

Would you please show me how to type it properly and how to pronounce it ?

RE: Can anyone translate this for me please? - Jason - 03-16-2019

I can't tell you how to type in Hebrew, since you don't know one Hebrew character from another (do you?). I can type it and tell you what it says, but I can't tell you how to type it.

However, I don't know what you're asking for. What's written in the tattoo cannot have a pronunciation because it isn't a sentence. Wasn't I clear about that?

Is there something else that you want to know how to say? Perhaps what you thought this tattoo was supposed to say? It doesn't say anything as it is written.

@Jason - I think he wants to know how to write and say ' Impossible is Nothing ' I'm just guessing.

This is the coolest thread by the way. I've been laughing all morningSmile

There is a website devoted to bad Hebrew tattoos - https://www.badhebrew.com/

I ordered a shirt with Hebrew writing a while back. It was uʍop-ǝpᴉsdn and sdrawkcab. No biggie. . It could returned.

Correct ! I’m trying to find out how “Impossible is nothing” would be typed in the Hebrew language, and how to pronounce it. Please. Smile

Me helping you is how this guy ended up with that bad tattoo. I speak a lot of Hebrew, but cannot write it. Had I known how to write it I would have done so. . . It's that blind trust is how this all started.

This is just hilarious Smile  You seem like a cool dude !

But I'll give it shot . . . אין בלתי - אפשרי
Totally guessing !

I would have resorted to Google Translate, except the last time I used Google Translate, I got this:

Lesson learned:  Don't use Google Translate.
