on 1 MArch 2022 I sent the following query to ASk A Rabbi Aish Torah.com
When a Jewish Person does any action at all-does it reflect not just on himself, but also on all Jews everywhere and the L-D as well?
Two examples:
Would a good example be if a Jewish person on learning that a community of galat Jews are in physical danger yet refuse to leave--he prays that the L-D give the community in danger the understanding that they must flee galat and Go up to israel to live as Jews?
Would a bad example be if a Jewish person does cold cruel action on another Jewish person and refusing to show either remorse or repentence brings shame not only to himself but also to Jews everywhere to the notice of the L-D?

Dear
Thank you for reaching out to us. This is a very astute and complex question you raise. We do believe that all Jews are responsible for one another and are connected to the point that one's actions do reflect on the community and people on the whole, both for good and bad. Just as a family member can bring honor or shame to their family through their actions, soo to with the Jewish people. That being said, it is important that when transferring judgement from an individual to the community as a whole, that does not become an excuse or free pass to judge others in a certain way.
The bottom line is that we should always strive to judge individuals and communities with positivity and the benefit of the doubt.

I’m going to ask you the same question I’ve asked you before. This time I would appreciate an honest answer to my question. I am not asking whether you are of Jewish descent, I am not asking whether you identify as a a Jew. I am plain and simply asking if under the criteria of any of the movements within Judaism you are recognized as being a Jew by all or any of them.

Of utmost importance, here in this forum, is to debate the amount of shame of which the Law of Return legislation applied by a secular state can endanger the reputation of an entire group, if abused for protecting criminals from extradition to the foreign countries to where those crimes were commited, unless, of course, that country of which the alleged transgression was to have taken place is known for arbitrary judicial practices and/or unusually extreme punishment.
If that certain secular state were to return to a religiously-based one, where would the line get drawn, concerning international transgression issues and their incurring extraditional practices
