Counting of the Omer?

Shalom RabbiO, thank you for the link. I can say for a certainty that the Karaite Jews are the closest in getting the counting correct. Their only error is in saying the Shabbat has to fall within the 7 days of Matzot, and IF that is the case, then the Children of Israel counted incorrectly when they FIRST entered into the Land. You see, the Children of Israel ATE bread and parched corn on the morrow AFTER the Passover offering. The only way they could have done that lawfully is IF the Passover offering was on the weekly Shabbat, and IF the Karaite Jews would be correct, THEN the Children of Israel would have waited until the morrow after the NEXT Shabbat (that falls WITHIN the 7 days of Matzot) before they could have eaten of the produce of the land. So what this experience of the Children of Israel entering into the Land and EATING on the morrow after the Passover does TEACH, is that the WAVING has to occur during the 7 days of Matzot. If the Children of Israel would have waited until the next Shabbat then the WAVING would have been OUTSIDE of the 7 days of Matzot, and that is incorrect, the WAVING has to occur WITHIN those 7 days. Hopefully this helps. Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew.
