Israel: Why the Arab/Jewish dispute over the Land of Israel has been such a “big issue”
#1
People are influenced by the Media.
The international media reports the news, as is its job.
There have been many U.N. anti-Israel resolutions:
For example, between 2012 and 2015, there were “97 resolutions criticizing countries;
83 out of those 97 have been against Israel (86%)” - see:
U.N. Anti-Semitic, Anti-Israel bias - “The U.N. and Israel: Key Statistics from UN Watch”:
https://www.unwatch.org/un-israel-key-statistics/

Anti-Israel U.N. resolutions provide a ready-made (anti-Israel) news item.
The reason for so many anti-Israel U.N. resolutions is that of the 57 Arab and Islamic aligned countries who are members of the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation”, the 56 that are also U.N. members follow the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s” policies on the Arab / Israel dispute when they vote in the U.N.

If the “Palestinian” Arabs had refrained in accordance with the Oslo Accords, from claiming as they do, ALL the land of Israel, then they would also not have persisted in their propaganda campaign in the United Nations, as reported through the international Media.
In those circumstances, logically the dispute would not have remained such a “big issue” in the Media.
As can be seen above, many U.N. anti-Israel resolutions over a period of time as reported in the Media.
People are influenced by such anti-Israel negative-Media coverage.

The reason for such a high level of attention then, has been that following the “Oslo Accords”, the “Palestinian” Arabs continued with:
Claiming ALL the land of Israel,
seeking to replace Israel with their own state,
and to expel the Jews;
while at the same time seeking to deceive the world they seek a two-state solution, which they do not as is clear from the Palestinian education system (below) and their National Charter (below),
running a consistent campaign through the United Nations as reported by the International Media.

Just to be clear - the “Palestinians” are Arab:
- - - - Start of extract: - - - -

Quote:“The Palestinians are those Arab nationals [...]”

In breach of the “Oslo Accords”, the “Palestinian” Arabs:
Claim ALL the land of Israel, as is clear from the Palestinian education system:
“PA education: A recipe for hate and terror”, Jul 21, 2015:
https://www.palwatch.org/page/8399
and from the “Palestinian National Charter” (source given above).

Since the “Palestinian” Arabs could not achieve their objectives (see above) by force, and having already gained autonomy of about 40% of the "West Bank", and the whole of Gaza, the “Palestinian” Arabs commenced a highly successful propaganda campaign against Israel, utilizing the United Nations.

The “Palestinian” Arabs have been able to abuse the United Nations in that manner because they start-off in U.N. votes by enjoying a block-vote in their favor of up to 56 Arab and additional Islamic-aligned countries (e.g. U.N. member states that are also members of the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation” and follow its policies when voting in the U.N.) (as mentioned above) , and also the influence of Arab oil money with its consequential trading power; all that compared to Israel being just one country.

The U.N and “European Union” (which copies U.N. polices against Israel) are both fully-complicit with “Palestinian” Arab propaganda, by refusing to recognize the land of Israel as the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people. Both the U.N and E.U. thus falsely-treat (see Hasmonean Kingdom - anon) the Jewish people as “invaders”, and so also as “thieves” and “illegal-occupiers” of the Jews OWN homeland (all the areas of land being of the prior Jewish kingdoms of Judah / Israel (below)), likewise illogically of building “illegal-settlements” there, with Palestinian terrorism considered “resistance to occupation”.

In United Nations General Assembly votes on the Arab / Israel dispute, a requirement for a Two-Thirds Majority is often invoked, to prevent a U.N. vote passing in favor of Israel. Example:
https://news.un.org/en/story/2018/12/1027881

Why is the U.N. Security Council whose resolutions are considered binding, biased against Israel? The mentioned U.N. block-vote bias against Israel gives the “Palestinian” Arabs more influence both in the General Assembly and in the Security Council, compared to Israel being just one country. U.N. Security Council resolutions against Israel are typically passed during the tenure of U.S. Democratic Party Presidents who decide not to use their veto to protect Israel; e.g. U.N. Security Council resolution 2334.

Media bias and anti-Semitism within the Media is also a factor in support of the above-mentioned objectives of the “Palestinian” Arabs, with such support utilizing revisionist history, as in the following Media example:

Stuart Norval presenter on France 24 English backdates the name “Palestinian people” from 1964, to when under the British Mandate, BOTH Jews and Arabs were “Palestinian”:
- - - - Start of extract from English Audio: - - - -

Quote:“[...] the Kibbutzim built in strategic locations to defend the land for Jewish settlers as conflicts grew with the Palestinian people [...]”

Extract source:

Issued on: 18/09/2020:

- - - - End of extract from English Audio - - - -

The words “Palestinian people” used by France 24 about the “Arabs” of the British Mandate have been backdated in the program (from the 1960’s) to the time of the British Mandate (1922 to 1948) for the purpose of pro-“Palestinian” Arab propaganda, and being historically-incorrect, the piece thus constitutes revisionist-history.

The Media of the time referred to the British Mandate inhabitants, as:
“Palestinian Arabs”, / “Palestinian Jews”, or as: “Arabs” / “Jews”.

Citizenship under the British Mandate was “Palestinian” irrespective of ethnicity:
- - - - Start of extract: - - - -

Quote:“During the Mandatory Palestine period, the term “Palestinian” was used to refer to all people residing there, regardless of religion or ethnicity, and those granted citizenship by the British Mandatory authorities were granted “Palestinian citizenship”.

Quote:“When a user enters the word phrases “Palestinian people” and “Palestinian state” into the Ngram search bar, he discovers that they began appearing only in 1960.”

Extract source:

- - - - End of extract - - - -

The “Palestinian” Arabs were opposed to being called a “People” until the 1960’s:
https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11401...ian-people

Using “Palestine” to negate the name Israel for the land is misleading, as there has never been any indigenous sovereign state of “Palestine”. The only valid name for the land belongs to the Jewish indigenous sovereign states before the Re-establishment of Israel in 1948: “Israel” or “Judah”.

The Jewish people are the indigenous people of their ancestral homeland of Israel with unbroken presence there since Biblical times:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographi...e_(region)

Israel is Re-established within the Jewish ancestral homeland. Internationally-recognized history shows that the last indigenous sovereign state in the land of Israel (Roman-imposed name “Palestine”), prior to the re-establishment of Israel in 1948, was the post-Biblical Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom. It included the "West Bank", Gaza, and Golan Heights. Capital (what is now East) Jerusalem / “Old City”; between 110 BCE / 754 BH and 63 BCE / 706 BH - Map:
