No, I don't think that "embalming" means "mummifying." Those are two different processes. People today undergo embalming, but they are not turned into mummies.

When we find him, we will know the answer for sure.

I can't say that I really know for sure the answer either. It just makes logical sense that he is a mummy.

How do you think one would identify the corpse (whether mummified or not) of someone supposedly dead for more than 3,000 years? How would you know that it's Jacob?
