Help me to understand my ancestors

...I watched the game yesterday because England - Germany is classic; they both play a similar style...

England vs. Germany soccer has always been fiercely competitive. Germany vs. the Netherlands also. The rivalry between both may be of historical extention.

Watching artificial teams play sports would also drive me to drinking.
Bread and Games is the milleniums old way of diverting public attention away from important issues.

...England - Germany is classic; they both play a similar style and there is a long tradition between the two...
Their passion may be historically related. Netherlands vs. Germany also.

It's been a week, since I've written to them. It would be cordial, if I were to get some notification whatsoever. I don't know if the request is taken seriously, viewed as fraudulent or is denied because of the type of data legislation of which is similar to that of the European Union's (non-members such as Switzerland often adhere to such rulings, despite them not being legally applicable). Perhaps, they're compiling statistics on my behalf. In any event, I'm placing my request with "North" Macedonia's resident consular services.

I came across this video where a relative doing geneology research had contacted this distant relative. The person being contacted was raised somewhat secular and then learned about being Jewish through this distant relative. His success at finding over a hundred relatives is very encouraging.
If the initial content is found disturbing, feel free to scroll the video forward:

As you probably know, it has become dangerous, especially for women, but also for men. Among other things, that's why  I moved away in 2017.

Here's one more reason for bugging out of Karlsruhe: https://www.karlsruhe-insider.de/karlsru...ein-79733/
Getting back to geneology, the only Karpa worth bothering with on Twitter was an Olga from most likely Russia or Ukraine. Her reply claimed to not know what I was asking. Either she was too superficial to even care about her own background, or she might have been scared through being discovered having Jewish background, since this is more often a cause of prejudice in mainly the more northern Slavic countries.

I know about Karlsruhe. It's scary. Look at San Francisco, 70 percent of the residents say that conditions have decreased.  It seems to be a similar picture all over the place.

What strange thing this anti-Jewish sentiment is. There was a time when I seriously tried to understand what's behind it. All I found was lies, insanity and hatred from other sources that were projected. For example I asked: Has a Jew harmed you in any way? (answer: no). How many Jews do you know personally? (answer: none). How on earth can you hate someone you don't know?

People should be very careful what they think and say. "And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse, and all the families of the earth shall be blessed in you." (Genesis 12:3). I prefer the blessing. The text seems to claim that there are more of those who bless ("THOSE who bless you") than those who curse ("the ONE who curses you") - that could give hope.

San Francisco's demise began with synthetic drugs, the persons inolved with drugs who were attracted to San Francisco and San Francisco's tolerance for the polarization of drug abuse there. The pleasant climate also helped attract all sorts of Lunatic Fringe types from all over the country, if not from all over the world. A close friend of my parents, who may still be alive, was telling me that when she moved to San Francisco back in 1958, it was a Paradise. It's been at least 15 years since I talked to her. Even back then, she told me that it was turning into a living Hell. Unlike persons of my generation, younger people never knew what it's like to live in a pleasant environment. The pleasant experiences I have had is the reason as to why I can compare situations. This absence of pleasant life combined with the hopelessness of modern American life has to be the reason for modern drug addiction and unprecedented-level suicide among younger people.
Regarding hatred, a German parent whose daughter attended the same kindergarten as mine did once explained envy as the root for National Socialist persecution of specifically the Jews. I found this answer to be simple and not in-depth. Such an explanation could be rationalized, regarding the genocide practiced onto the Armenians, because the Armenian minority was able to exceed over the majority Turk population. In fact, the Armenians we had in highschool were always well-behaved, disciplined and achieved high grades. You never would have seen them associating with drug-doing cliques or those of lower class. One still can't equate Americans with Turks.
I suppose, the hatred for Jews has much to do with hand-me-down stereotyping. In the fourth grade, we had one crazy kid who was a little Nazi. He would exalt Hitler and even attacked Lorie Langer, choking her in the 6th grade. He was raised in a single parent family. I doubt that his ideas originated from his passive mother. Since his younger sister was evidently 100% related to him, I could guess that any hand-me-down ideas contributing to his attitude must have originated from his father who once lived with the family.
I once worked with an exremely unpleasant guy in a shop who also negatively commented on Jews. He had a criminal record and probably didn't even finish highschool.
As I was growing up in the 60's it wasn't uncommon to hear stereotypical comments about minorities, depending on what the subject matter was about.
On an upper level, hatred fror George Soros seems to convey towards the entire Jewish spectrum. This is as injust as to blame all Italians for organized crime syndicates or all Irish people for the public drunkeness of a certain percentage.

I like the comparison with the Italiens, it's true! The hand-me-down thing might be true in some cases, but it is far from imperative. As a child I felt the immense insanity and scam of my anti-Semitic environment. As far as I am aware of, I never thought or did anything evil against Jews. I'm not saying this to praise myself, but to show that even a little child can feel the betrayal. And it's not just betrayal of Jews, but of all humans.

That sounds quite extreme. Did you grow up in the Deep South of the U.S.?
Some of those stereotypical comments come from Jews themselves. For example, I used to go out with this Jewish girl of whom I helped stocking the walk-in cooler at a petrol filling station of which she was the cashier. Back then, she had completed a course on computer programming, before there was even an accessable to the public internet. She would manipulate the station's data bank, in order to skim off cash for herself. The reason she gave was, "Look. our people don't like to pay (competitive wages)". From my personal viewpoint, Jewish employers don't hold the hallmark on this trait. This is the main reason as to why most employers of all nationalities and faiths altogether seek younger people who are less confident and inexperienced in wage bargaining. Getting back to her, she wasn't a bad person. She was one of those Three-Strikes-you're-out types whose father was separated from the nuclear family. He was an alcoholic jazz player. I vaguely remember that he played either a trumpet or saxaphone. I met him once, as he visited her family (she was still living at home). He was a nice guy to talk to. The family was anything but boring. They were sort of like that scene from Woody Allen's Annie Hall film of which I posted here some time ago. Her mom was still working at some factory and her brother was composing music, awaiting a breakthrough. Both her sisters were somewhat tight-lipped, though. Especially, the younger one. The older one was married.
I could recite some other examples. But, maybe it would be a better idea, to keep them under my hat for now.
On an international scale, although I praise George Soros for finding fault with the British banking system (The Americans also did, since they have not yet allowed the Brits access to their own gold stored at the American treasury Smile ), I condemn his practice of interfering into the internal affairs of eastern European and western countries. I think, grass roots Jewish organisations should be active in rejecting his negative activities of which are a cause for complaint continually amplified on the internet. Such as the Catholic Church has begun excommunicating members of organized crime organizations, the banishment of such high-profile actors like Soros from synogogue-participation might be an idea to toy with.
The government of Israel would do well in revising its policy on extradition of which is also a topic of complaint. Of course, not revising it to the point where citizens of Israel would be subjected to Julian Assange-styled arbitrary extradition requests. The requests must be authentic and backed by indisputable forensic evidence. A goodwill gesture of this type should help the Jewish people to avoid generalized prejudice.

Interesting story with the girl at the petrol filling station. Concerening your suggestion that Jews should do this or that to avoid prejudice, I think that wouldn't work.

I've never been to the States  - but thanks that you thought that I was an Americain Big Grin .  I grew up in the Deep South of Germany.

Do you live in the Netherlands?
