San Francisco's demise began with synthetic drugs, the persons inolved with drugs who were attracted to San Francisco and San Francisco's tolerance for the polarization of drug abuse there. The pleasant climate also helped attract all sorts of Lunatic Fringe types from all over the country, if not from all over the world. A close friend of my parents, who may still be alive, was telling me that when she moved to San Francisco back in 1958, it was a Paradise. It's been at least 15 years since I talked to her. Even back then, she told me that it was turning into a living Hell. Unlike persons of my generation, younger people never knew what it's like to live in a pleasant environment. The pleasant experiences I have had is the reason as to why I can compare situations. This absence of pleasant life combined with the hopelessness of modern American life has to be the reason for modern drug addiction and unprecedented-level suicide among younger people.
Regarding hatred, a German parent whose daughter attended the same kindergarten as mine did once explained envy as the root for National Socialist persecution of specifically the Jews. I found this answer to be simple and not in-depth. Such an explanation could be rationalized, regarding the genocide practiced onto the Armenians, because the Armenian minority was able to exceed over the majority Turk population. In fact, the Armenians we had in highschool were always well-behaved, disciplined and achieved high grades. You never would have seen them associating with drug-doing cliques or those of lower class. One still can't equate Americans with Turks.
I suppose, the hatred for Jews has much to do with hand-me-down stereotyping. In the fourth grade, we had one crazy kid who was a little Nazi. He would exalt Hitler and even attacked Lorie Langer, choking her in the 6th grade. He was raised in a single parent family. I doubt that his ideas originated from his passive mother. Since his younger sister was evidently 100% related to him, I could guess that any hand-me-down ideas contributing to his attitude must have originated from his father who once lived with the family.
I once worked with an exremely unpleasant guy in a shop who also negatively commented on Jews. He had a criminal record and probably didn't even finish highschool.
As I was growing up in the 60's it wasn't uncommon to hear stereotypical comments about minorities, depending on what the subject matter was about.
On an upper level, hatred fror George Soros seems to convey towards the entire Jewish spectrum. This is as injust as to blame all Italians for organized crime syndicates or all Irish people for the public drunkeness of a certain percentage.
