Habakkuk 2: 4 says "The righteous shall live by his Emunah" What is a better translation for the Hebrew word "Emunah"? Faith or fidelity?

One can look at the range of meanings of a single word in the abstract, but the meaning of a specific word is always determined by it's use in a given context. Here, the meaning is clearly faithfulness, even in the face of adversity and wickedness.

In the book of Habakkuk, the prophet is rather impatiently waiting on God to deliver his people from violence and injustice. The law is not being followed, the righteous are being surrounded by the wicked, justice is being perverted. God's initial response is that he is going to make things a whole lot worse by bringing the mighty and wicked Chaldeans upon Israel. Habakkuk is hardly satisfied with this response! God tells him that his vision is for the appointed time, perhaps the end of time. In the meantime, contrary to the proud, the righteous one will live by faith.

Thus, in this context, living by faith or being faithful seems to entail waiting on and trusting in God even in adversity, not being like the proud or unrighteous, thus humble and being faithful to the law even if Israel is being punished by God by means of the Chaldeans. It is not trusting in wealth or idols.
