About Ben And Jerry's.....
#1
Outside Israel Jews should Boycott B & J;

https://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/...spx/310876
Inside Israel Jews should support the B & J (In fact this franchise has been fighting the parent company)

The franchise will probably be bought out in 2022 when license runs out.....either by the israeli Goverment or other other Israeli Ice Cream makers.... since this is the only Unilever franchise in Israel so "targeted"..I wonder if this is little more than a cycnical move by the parent company as an easy way to get rid of this 34 year old franchise.....once and for all..... Huh Confused Dodgy

Unilever bought Ben and Jerry in 2000

That would depend on where this company's profits are taxed. If this company's Israeli franchise's profits are subject to foreign corporate taxation, then I would agree on boycotting.

The operation in Israel is not a franchisee. It is a licensee. There is a big difference.

You know what I meant Rolleyes . It boils down to B&J producing ice cream under license of a foreign parent company. I'm not familiar with current American corporate legislation. There are, however, proposals preparing for legislation debate of which are intended to endanger foreign levying of American corporate taxation for the purpose of avoiding the U.S. high rate of taxation. Whether B&J's Israeli production is subject domestic or foreign corpoprate taxation under Israeli law is what I intended to put to question.

The company in Israel that makes and distributes Ben & Jerry ice cream in Israel does not have a foreign parent company.

The first post claims that "Ullivner" is the parent company. After looking this company up: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=ullivner+company&t=h_&ia=web , I'm assuming a missspwelling of Unilever. Nevertheless, the linked article site makes mention of neither Ullivner nor Unilever as parent companies  Huh

Note Ben and Jerry is sued because the Boycott means the PLO wont 't get any Israeli Ice Cream
Ironic twist: Palestinian sues Ben & Jerry’s for stirring ‘hatred’ with boycott (israel365news.com)
Truely fact is stranger than fiction

Let's first be clear about who currently owns "Ben & Jerry's":

The "Unilever"-owned "Ben & Jerry's" statement of July  19, 2021:

[From heading:]

Quote:"[...] Will End Sales of Our Ice Cream in the Occupied Palestinian Territory"

Their statement thereby complies with "Palestinian" Arab propaganda falsely-validated by the Arab-dominated United Nations, falsely-asserting an Israeli (illegal) "occupation" of the "West Bank".

The "West Bank" has only been been known by that name since 1948 when the Jordanians illegally-occupied it.
See under heading: “Etymology” > West Bank:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Bank

The "West Bank" is land of the former Jewish kingdoms of Judah and Samaria, and also of the post-Biblical (Jewish) Hasmonean Kingdom.

Due to the Romans having imposed the name “Palestina” (Palestine) on Roman-occupied Jewish Judah / Israel, some old maps are entitled “Palestine”, but when you then look at the actual land area, the label “Palestine” is NOT used, but instead you correctly see the labels “Judea” and “Samaria”.
For example, expand the following map:

https://legacy.lib.utexas.edu/maps/histo...a_1849.jpg

Since the U.N. is fully-complicit with "Palestinian" Arab propaganda denying Jewish roots in the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel, it is not surprising it likewise falsely-validates the "Palestinian" Arab falsehood of an Israeli illegal-occupation. The Jewish people have had previous sovereign state sin the land (states that included the "West Bank"), whereas by comparison there has never been any indigenous "Palestine" / Arab sovereign state in the land upon which the "Palestinian" Arabs could base any claim to any part of the land of Israel.

I've dealt with:

> the origins of the name “Palestine” and that name's usage in attempting to negate the name Israel for the land, here:
