If anybody, the New York coroner should have records. Surely, there couldn't have been that many males of that age with tatooed arms ending up there, within that time frame.
The dentist himself likely kept dental records.
It's strange, though, that someone shows up and leaves a box in front of the clinic's door, without ringing the doorbell. What if it's the wrong head?

There's alot missing from that article. All they tell us is that that woman once had a skull. How and why it was separated from the torso remains a secret.

"The remain" would properly describe the skull itself. "Remains" would describe the ashes of a cremated skull. Are we to understand that the coffin contained an urne filled with ashes? Even that wouldn't make much sense, since the coffin would have been burned together with any remains, as normal procedure.

In regard to trying to trace the Shoah survivor who left his body to medical science....First of all several obstecules...an exact date for one...then there might be slim chance if his obituary mentioned this..yet if he was so poor he could not aford dental insurance...Not even an obit..?
