London was already a zoo, when I resided there in 1988. The kid got roughed up, because of his appearance. Those thugs weren't following any stereotypic motive such as envy. One of them was evidently European, originating from a single-parented family or one where the parents consume alcohol or drugs.
The other two might be Muslim South Asians.
Where are the older brothers? Near where I grew up, we had the Purple Gang who took no crap from the other ethnic crime organizations.
