On Maus comic books

When i read the books..they do tell tell a story...but using animials? {Jews as weak little mice; Germans as cats; Americans as dogs and Poles as Pigs  could indeed lead to sterotyping}  

Ironically one of Goebbels propaganda movies ..show a pictures of running mice..mixed in with pictures of Jews ...Implying ....one is like the other,,,,,

I'm not familiar with the book, but the author obviously knew what he was talking about and others got his message, as one commentator says:
