So, you’ve decided to dive into the ancient and fascinating world of Biblical Hebrew? Mazal tov (\u05de\u05b7\u05d6\u05bc\u05b8\u05dc \u05d8\u05d5\u05b9\u05d1<\/span>)! You\u2019re about to embark on a journey that will not only deepen your understanding of ancient texts but also enrich your appreciation of history, culture, and language. Here are some tips to help you get started.<\/p>\n

1. Start with the Basics<\/h3>\n

Before you can read and understand Biblical Hebrew, you need to get familiar with the Hebrew alphabet (The \u201cAleph-Bet\u201d). There are 22 letters, and each one has a unique sound and shape. Spend some time practicing writing and pronouncing each letter. Flashcards can be a great tool for this. 3. Build Your Vocabulary<\/h3>\n

Start with common words and phrases that appear frequently in the Bible. Seow\u2019s grammar provides reading exercises early on, which I am recording together with the vocabulary in the vocab playlist. Practice reading aloud; practice reading often; do what you can to perfect how you pronounce Hebrew words. Saying the words aloud assist in planting them in your long-term memory.<\/p>\n

6. Use Online Resources<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many online resources available to help you learn Biblical Hebrew. YouTube channels like Aleph with Beth<\/a> offer free lessons, exercises, and audio recordings.
