How to deal with antisemitism?

It’s rampant on Facebook. I’ve heard comments like
“Hitler was right”
Or
“Jews are out to take over the world.”

How do you deal with people like this?

We try to live a Torah life and realize this will be part of it.

Of course we have to keep safe and do what it takes to keep that way, but verbally our best defense is not to engage.

I have a question about the word "antisemite". My understanding is that someone is against the descendents of Sem (Shem), the son of Noah.

The descendents of Sem are Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram. Elam is modern day Iran and Asshur is Irak. Iranians or Iraqis don't use the term antisemite if someone is against them, but it would apply to them, too.

Wouldn't it be more precise to choose more specific terms for Israel/Jews or or am I overlooking something?

It seems that like other things that change over time, this may have as well. Yes, a semite is not just a Jewish person but the word anti-semite looks to have morphed its meaning into a word that specifically targets Jews hatred.

It's a strange word, invented by only 2 individuals and gained popularity through an antisemite.

For those accused of A., it might be helpful if they could and had to identify with the accusation in some way.

Otherwise, I and heard that, they feel wrongly accused because the term is so broad, and they completely deny the claim.

A clearer term could perhaps also be better for those affected, as the word A. causes so much confusion.
