BLT
#1
Hi, I am a Christian, non-Jew.    I live in the USA.

Here in the USA there is sandwich called a BLT sandwich.   Which stands for Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato sandwich.

Bacon of course is a non-kosher food for Jews.   So I am not suggesting such a sandwich for Jews.

A few years ago I was thinking about those three letters and came up with something that is food spiritually for Jews and that would be compatible with Judaism.

BLT

Believe God

Love God

Trust God

Hi Douggg,

There are to my observation two kinds of Christians that stand out in my mind.

The first group were born into the faith, indoctrinated, and either remained in their religion with family or left the belief system due to studying additional information, usually gathered much later as an adult.

The other group are Christians that convert to the faith as adults. They have gone from being a non believer in childhood to a believer in adulthood generally due to a profound come to Jesus moment.  Very persistent.

I belonged to the first group.  Can I ask you which group you are in?

My guess is you came to your faith late in life but I could be wrong.

Obviously my comment and question have nothing to do with your post so feel free to ignore it.

I am 75 years old.    I became a Christian at age 23.   Which I have focused on studying eschatology of the bible for over 50 years.

I also have been a participating member of the Messiah Truth Yuku discussion site which is a Jewish counter missionary site, run as a virtual Yeshiva.    My screen-name there is Douggg.

I joined in 2004 and for the past 20 years have actively been learning what Jews (Judaism) believe.

For Christians, it is a great site to gain information, which a lot of it has been very helpful for my Christian eschatology understanding.    The site does not allow any form of proselytizing.   And a person will quickly be banned for such activity.    So if you go there, the best way to benefit is to ask questions - and not argue - gain information.

It is the site I go to also if I have any questions regarding the Hebrew language.   Uri, the site administrator, is very knowledgeable in Hebrew and other Jewish beliefs.

They also have an "ask the rabbi" forum.   Which Rabbi Yisroel has been very courteous and informative, regarding my questions.

Thanks for sharing. I’m also close to your age. That is a very very long time to study eschatology.
