Introduction: Seeking understanding about Judaism
#1
Hi, i hope it is okay to post here.    I'm seeking to understand more about Judaism.   I have felt drawn to know more for some time.   I have an ex- Christian background.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions for how to connect more with Jewish people, culture, and religion.    I'm concerned that I may not fit in, but nevertheless, as a monotheist I'd like to pursue things further.

In addition, I've been facing up to things I did wrong in the past.   Can anyone recommend reading for my circumstances?

Hello TruthSeeker, welcome to the forum.

It seems like you may have been here before, or at least someone with a vert similar screen name was.

How do you connect with Jewish people?

I would say attend Jewish events.

What type of "reading" are you looking for? Judaism has hundreds of thousands of books on ethics.

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry for the delay responding, I had a glitch signing in.

I'd really like to read an introductory guide for prayer appropriate for someone considering Judaism as their faith, and a book that helps you consider what steps to take.

With respect to attending Jewish events, is it best to contact a Rabbi in the first instance?

Thank you for your help.
