Hi SMR.

I'm looking through Rabbi Fohrman's book The Exodus You Almost Passed Over. It picks up only portions of the Joseph story in his younger years towards the back.   Did he write another book you may be looking at?

I'm guessing he will have one for each of the 5 books of Moses.

I must buy it then!  Ever since reading his first book and listening to him with Rabbi Singer that one time made him a favorite. He inspires me to stay with the Hebrew and I've become rusty.  Love his pattern finding and the way he thinks.

Yes, Rabbi Forhman has a unique way of diving into the Hebrew of the text and coming up with some thoughts that may seem strange. But he usually ties it in with the writings of the Sages and why they thought the way they did.

It amazes me all of the connections throughout the Tanach that aren't obvious but require deep study to reveal.

And they are just that, thoughts, no one is saying you have to believe it to be true.

The Parsha from 2 weeks ago had a connection between Jacob and Esther. It relates to the only 2 times the phrase "a great and bitter cry" is used.
