Yes my own 1/1/2 cents worth....Indeed in that "popular History" "O Jerusalem" on Deir Yassin. the authors talk about a alleged film/photographs of the Arab dead showing a massacre....yet this pictures have never been released citing "National Security"_
There are only two logical reasons for such censorship:
1} The pictures are shocking yet their released would prove Ben-Gurion charges of a massacre against the Irgun [and also the Hagannah forces which were also involved]
2) The pictures show Arab dead...in battle but not in a massacre....which would have defalted Ben-Gurion charges as groundless rehortic....
Which is it? I dont know....but if the 2nd reason is correct....you must remember that Ben-Gurion was first and foremost a politian whose political life was the founding of a Jewish state in his own version [similar to Dev Valera versian of a Irish state]
Ever since the giving of the Torah at Sinai the main focus of the Jewish People has beening "People of the Book" {Torah] and the settling of Jews in Land of Israel...Ben gurions focus was indeed the settlment of Jews in the Land of Israel...as regarding the Torah in Jewish Life....B.G. Versian is that Israel would be a "Modern"/athestic European type state ..

In pursuit of his versian...he by his actions felt that only his party "Labor" would be Chief politcal party in charge of any goverment...and that Jabotinsky Revisionest Party would never lead any Israeli goverment...to that end he dod everything he could to make Heirut party the "unwelcome child" of any goverment coalition: he refused the provision of Jabotinsky will that he be reburied in the Land of Israel; he continually sneered at Jabotinsky as "Vladimir Hitler" etc,,etc,,,for all his political life..and even when he was officaly out of it....
as noted above the pictures of the dead would have proved his charges.....
P.S. I call "O Jerusalem" a popular history..not always accurate.. for example May-July 1948 Battles of Latrum that unkown numbers of IDF were casualites..echoing the talk that thousands IDF were killed there.
In fact although grevious IDF loses Latrun and related battles were 260 killed; 327 WIA; 19 POW total of 606
