The pride and base, blind judgment shown forth here is the reason a partial hardening has come to Jacob (the Jewish people). There truly is a remnant according to grace, but ultimately that remnant is according to the election and grace of God. Would that Abrahams children would follow in his footsteps and stop seeking to set up their own righteousness and submit to the righteousness of God by faith - Abraham yearned to see the days of Jesus, and before Abraham was, Jesus declared Himself as everlasting Father with the declaration "I am".

God desires His people to return to Him so that He might show them mercy and write His law in their hearts. If you truly were teachers in Israel, you would understand this.

There is nothing that indicates that Abraham yearned to "see the days of Jesus", that's just more Christian belief.

And if you actually understood Hebrew, you would understand what " Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh” really means.
