For all those who celebrated "Shabbat Across America" on Friday night, how did it go?
Our congregation had a catered buffet for the Shabbat meal. It was good chicken! There were a lot of families, and the children provided some entertainment by performing this song they'd been practicing:
(I Can't Get No) Hamantaschen
sung to the Rolling Stones "Satisfaction"
I can't get no
Hamantaschen
I can't get no
Hamantaschen
They've run out!
They're sold out!
There's not one!
In the town—
I can't GET no—
I can't GET no—
I was drivin' in my car
When I saw my mom go into the store
She wanted to buy some more
For this Purim celebration
But she was filled with much frustration
I can't GET no
Oh no no no
Hey hey hey
That's what I say
Of course, the adults joined in for the second round. Who doesn't like the Stones?
It was a fun night!
