I wholeheartedly agree with him and may add that the vast majority of high-ranking officials in the German judiciary at the time, up to 90%, were ex-NSDAP members. Some say they had no choice because there were no non-Nazi party members to do the work. But I'm sure things would have gone much better if there had been other people in charge.

I just watched a documentary about the terrorist attacks in Munich. Maybe the former Nazis weren't the main problem, but lots of insane mistakes that were related to being overwhelmed and a lack of preparation.
