Jesus declaration was only a portion of that couplet.
You can "interpret" Gods declaration in Exodus however you want, but that reaches back to the garden and the serpents question, "Has God really said?".
Just as He is what He is/chooses to become, He also says what He says/chooses to say.

Sorry, but what Christians do or don't do is no more your business than what Jews do or don't do is my business. I know that Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet. They are much kinder to Him than you are, and I have no problem with other beliefs as long as they don't attack mine in a pointless way. You attack Christianity even when there are no Christians talking about their faith during that time in this forum, that is only an excuse for you. But of course this is your forum and it would take you one click to bann Christians here. Would be interesting to see if you stopped your Anti-Christian talk then.
It all comes back to what I said at the beginning:

Well, it's not really a fight, it's a debate, there is a difference.
We're not here to fight, just to defend.
That was a quick reaction to the picture. It looks like a fight, doesn't it? I long so much for a peaceful encounter but that will probably never happen.
You asked me:
Picture a Muslim coming on a Christian forum saying Jesus is not God but a prophet because that is what the Quran says. Would you accept that teaching on your forum?
- You may remember that I was once kicked out of a Christian forum for insisting that Jews could continue to participate and express their opinions.

It is my concern when Christians come here and tell us what our Hebrew bible says, how we are blind and try to convert us by giving us thier "truth".
You seem to forget, there wouldn't be any anti-missionaries if Christians would leave us alone and not do the things I mentioned above.
It's not whether we are "kinder" to Jesus or not. It's that we must defend our Hebrew scriptures and what G-d has given to us when told we don't know what they say.
How do I attack Christianity? I think you may need to look at it from a different angle.
Am I attacking Christianity, or what the Christian bible and Christians tell us what our bible says? There is a BIG difference there.
I think I have been very tolerant for people who come on the forum and let them say what they say to a certain point.
How long would you let a Jehovah Witness keep telling you Jesus is not god before you click your ban button?
I have many Christian, Muslim, Hindu and atheist friends whom I get along with very well. How can that be if I am that "attacker" you claim I am?
We can have peaceful discussions and we have had many here, even when we don't all agree.
I'm sorry if you cannot handle our defense of what we know is written in our Hebrew bible in the language it was written in.
There are many, many examples of pure scripture twisting and that isn't my fault. I wouldn't even care if it wasn't pushed in my face throughout my whole life just because I'm Jewish.
You said - " - You may remember that I was once kicked out of a Christian forum for insisting that Jews could continue to participate and express their opinions."
Expressing opinions is one thing, calling us names and labeling us is another.
Have I not let people express their opinions?

Everyone on this earth suffers from injustices, searchinmyroots, not just Jews. You can spend your whole life celebrating your victimhood and fighting against windmills, or you can try to find your peace.

Wow, that's your reply?
Why are you taking this down a rabbit trail and deflecting to different topics?
You're taking this way out of sorts as I know very well who suffers and never even hinted the Jewish people are the only ones who suffer from injustices.
Celebrating my victim hood? I am doing nothing of the sort, I'm just explaining why we defend our God given holy Torah, just as you seem to be doing for the Christian bible. If you look at history, you really won't find too many Jewish people celebrating their victim hood. No, they act upon it and become a stronger people, time after time again.
And no, I'm not fighting windmills, I'm helping to preserve a people and a nation.
There is great peace in that.

I think it is a very honorable task to defend the word of the Holy God.
So let's break this down. When I read your answer I have the impression that you have chosen the Christian Bible as the enemy of a people and nation. What about secularism, hatred and corruption among the Jewish people, missing to call on the living God and go to Gods of stone? These are the main things, if I remember correctly, Jesaja adressed. What about the Muslim Brotherhood in Turkey, Egypt and Iran that wants to eliminate the Jewish nation and people, are they not a threat worth fighting against?
Of course, Christians can be proud that they rank first on this long list of enemies in your worldview (this is irony. I find it ridiculous that you would even consider us a threat in today's circumstances. Not to mention that many evangelical Christians in the US are the only ones who support Israel)
The fight against the word of Jesus is a fight against windmills, because you will never be able to defeat it.
I didn't change the topic. You emphasized that things happen to you because you are Jewish. I'm sorry if I read it wrong. My reply may not repeat the exact words you wrote but it expresses the thoughts that came to my mind as I read it.

The sad fact is, Christendom does in fact rank first on the list of Jewish enemies due to reprehensible interpretations that somehow God is capable of not keeping His promises to Israel. This is where I differ from 99% of those that name the name of Christ.
Hitler himself justified his atrocities via the writing of Luther... Albeit, as in the case of Egypt, Babylon, etc. Germany is just another in the long line of antisemites that was a tool to endeavor to humble Jacob and bring them back to God in truth. Judgment is never pretty, but always redemptive if understood.
Islam is the next in line, and this time it will be a time like none before it, or none after - and the remnant of surviving Jews after this coming judgment will be redeemed and look upon Him whom they have pierced and be saved. It falls on Gods people worldwide to be a refuge for Israel in the times to come.
So Bluebird, priorities are NOT ecumenism and inclusion, but redemption and saving Jewish lives from a world that hates them. (As a side note: American Evangelicalism doesn't really support anything at all, and will bend and sway with the wind of world opinion because it depends on the system to hold it up. Just as evangelicalism did in pre Holocaust Germany, so to it will bend to worlds opinions, hoist the flag of Hamas, or whatever name the worldwide anti Jew movement takes at that time, and suckle the teet of the satanic world system).
Also as another side note: "Things" do happen to Jews for the simple fact that they are Jews - a simple and pedestrian study of history shows us this. This is because the promises of God are irrevocable, and Satan seeks to destroy the covenanted people of God before they come to accept the Christ. As goes Israel, so goes the world - because no matter what an arrogant gentile "church" thinks, the Jew is still the apple of Gods eye and the gentile was only given salvation through Jesus because it was rejected by the Jew - this is Gods wisdom to provoke Israel to jealousy.
The purposes of God are always to eliminate the pride and self sufficiency of man so that they come to Him in humility and faith. Once this is realized, and it's obvious from Genesis to Malachi, Matthew to the Revelation, much of what is usually debated no longer even matters.
God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Ok, there are actually times when I wish I could hit a ban button.

Always ban what doesn't uphold the status quo.
This is why the prophets were categorically rejected and killed - hence Jesus lament over Jerusalem.

That's okay, I did it for you.
