You do know the requirements as mentioned in the Hebrew bible, don't you?

I read two of the requirements are that the messiah has to be a noted politician and have military ability.

"The mashiach will be a great political leader descended from King David (Jeremiah 23:5)"

 "He will be a great military leader, who will win battles for Israel."

 "Before the time of the mashiach, there shall be war and suffering (Ezekiel 38:16) "

So I am thinking right after the Gog/Magog event of Ezekiel 39 is when the person will be anointed the king of Israel.

And that the 7 years of Ezekiel 39:9 following the Gog/Magog event is the same 7 years of Daniel 9:27.

At present, I am not saying for certain that Zelenksy is the person to become the Jewish messiah.   I am just keeping a watchful eye.     In my Christian eschatology thinking, if Ukraine becomes a EU member state, and Zelensky becomes leader over a panel of ten other EU leaders that would solidify it for me.

You're missing the point.

There have been many that were thought to be the awaited Jewish messiah.

Either that person meets ALL of the qualifications or they're simply not the messiah.

I haven't heard of anyone that has for the past couple of thousand years.

So what people "think" is not important.

Meet them all, or go home!!

Considering Zelenksy as the man to be is an interesting idea. Could be the little horn that grows outsized.

I would be disappointed if Zelensky was "it", he would have to be a bit more charismatic and successful to be a hero. The 10 powers could be Europe or world regions, similar to the UN report

If that is the case, then I really cannot comment as it has to do with Christian theology and not related to anything written in the Hebrew bible if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe you could as I would like to hear the Jewish interpretation of Daniel if there is one (I remember that you said that Daniel isn't a prophet in Judaism). I think, I don't know, that Douggg is refering to Daniel 7:24

And the ten horns (for example 10 EU-states) out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another (for Example Zensky) shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

and together with Revelation 13: And I saw a beast coming out of the sea (which are peoples). It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name...

Some Christians (growing numbers) use these texts to study prophecy.

Stage 4 is when the person reveals his true colors, and is when Jews will reject him.

I'd like to refer please to searchinmyroots' first post here. 

It occurs to me that no one can now know if someone can really trace their ancestry back to establish this: 
'Be the seed (a direct descendant) of King David, through King Solomon'. 

Therefore it is logical that their post also states this: 
'The coming of Elijah to herald the Messiah’s arrival (e.g., Malachi 3:1,23-24[4:5-6]3)'. 

The prophet is required, because the required ancestry can only be established through a prophet.
