There are a few different ones where Jacob received blessing, not just one.

One he "stole" from Esau from Isaac.

What was the right of the firstborn about? It's the only incident I remember when it mattered. Starting with the first generation, over time most of the important people appear to have been younger siblings.

Yes.

Some see it like this -

Jacob was "grasping" to be like his brother from birth. That's why he held onto to his heel, wanted his birthright and wanted his father's admiration that he had for Esau.

Isaac gave Jacob a blessing that was meant for Esau, one for power and wealth.

Jacob received another blessing from G-d, changing his name to Israel and promising him something similar to what was told to Abraham.

Jacob may have realized he needs to be his own person on his own mission as he sort of offered Isaac's blessing back to Esau when they met.

Then later on, Isaac gave Jacob the blessing that was meant for him specifically.

So maybe the moral of the story is, not to try to be someone else, even if they are most popular and seem to "have it all". We need to know what our own strengths are and know that we are blessed to have them!
