The Creation Days Parable
The Creation Days 1 through 6, in the text explicitly concludes with the phrase, "And there was evening, and there was morning." The seventh day completely lacks this phrase. In biblical theology, this implies that the Seventh Day represents an ongoing state, until the divine rest and harmony that the Elect is meant to share.
Psalm 95:11
So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”
This is how I know Genesis 1 is written as a parable. The creation days are Epochs of time. A full day traditionally is from sundown to sundown, because the world began in darkness. And this is what the scriptures say:
Gen 1:5. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
From evening to morning is half of a day. That means that God is not done creating.
New heavens and a new earth
Isaiah 65:17
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isaiah 66:22
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
