Say I'm looking to write an alphabet primer for Jewish children like this or a generic writing of a Hebrew phrase like this. How should I write the sounds of [eː] and [oː] in the Ashkenazi tradition these sources describe?
Examples of where this would be important:
דָּמִי "my blood" = [doːmiː], דֳּמִי "silence" = [dɔmiː]
אֶחָד "one" = [eːxɔd], אֱחוֹז "grasp" = [ɛxauz]
I think accent marks like this, this, or this are probably too technical, but there aren't really any good digraphs.
