Israel: Has the US Democratic Party become so election-panicked, it is now turning on Israel?
#1
Has the U.S. Democratic Party become so panicked about its chances in the forthcoming U.S. General Election (Presidential election), that it is now turning on Israel?

Senate Democratic Party Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is quoted as stating (among other things) (March 14, 2024), that:
Quote:"[...] Prime Minister Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel," [...]

Source:
https://www.npr.org/2024/03/14/123855578...-netanyahu

U.S. Democratic Party politicians as most people, may be subject to their emotions when making speeches, and when they make such an unfounded verbal-attack on a country, treating it like a vassal, and making the attack personal against the prime minister of that country, they tend disclose their own emotional state.

Here we see in his speech clearly disclosed that, panicking about the Democratic Party's chances in the upcoming U.S. General Election, Mr. Schumer allows his and his President's political survival, to take precedence over the best interests of Israel.

In a documentary I saw some time ago the name of which I cannot now recall, two bison are shown running across a snowy landscape trying to escape from a pack of wolves, when the one panicking-bison interested only in its own survival, rams the other causing it to fall.

It is now time for U.S. Politicians to decide; whether they are:
A friend of Israel in its time of need?
Or,
merely a fair-weather-friend.

The speech is unfortunate since there is already agreement in principle, on a way to proceed; namely that i understand Israel intends to provide reasonable safety for civilians out of the Barbarian Hamas terrorist bastion of Rafah, prior to taking military action there:

It would not make sense for the U.S. to seek as their actions are now apparently attempting to do, to preserve the existence of Hamas; an enemy likewise to the U.S. as to Israel.

I want to thank "COmentator" for your response. One of your links interested me which is the one from: TimeCom - Hamas attack Left response:
The problem I see with the text on that webpage is as one reads on, it suffers from repeating comments characterized by typical Palestinian Arab propaganda, but as usual devoid of any rebuttal. While the webpage does not promote it, yet does it provide it without any rebuttal; and so what then is the reader being left to believe?
It is always best to read what follows, rather than be impressed by what comes at the commencement when deciding whether to link a webpage.

I'm a friend of free speech. The point of being an adult I think is that we are not a leaf that is blown back and forth by the wind as we listen to different perspectives. Otherwise the pro-Israel information would also be propaganda that would not allow any other perspective.

The term "propaganda" in essence means simply biased information, not false information. (Therefore when I use the term I mostly use the words:
"falsehood propaganda".)
Thus, information only from the Israeli point of view could be termed "propaganda" due to the exact meaning of that word (yet while not being false information).
By the way, when I present information seeking to debunk Palestinian Arab falsehood propaganda, and because I first explain the latter before providing the debunk with objective sources, my information is not propaganda.

I'm also a friend of free speech. Free speech is quite rightly the right to express one's opinion. However, as a news/media organization CNN should not provide biased-information. Further down the text of that CNN source, by providing (albeit within comments of others) only the Palestinian Arab point of view devoid of any alternative, this presents the reader with just one view, which therefore amounts to propaganda biased to the Palestinian Arabs. That is all I was seeking to point out.

Of course CNN and other media outlets shouldn't put out lies or report only half the truth. Lies are a weapon in the hands of some mighty people to influence people who aren't sure about their opinion or their trust in their own ability to think.

In Germany we had two regimes that suppressed opinions and I saw and felt the oppression in the GDR, it is terrible, I can tell you, more terrible than lies. The best thing would be that people wouldn't lie and suppress opinions. But I think it's better to accept lies and different views than to suppress the thought process.

When it comes to the Palestinian Arabs false-claims on the land of Israel (false because they are unverifiable), while people are entitled to their view, I believe such false-claims ought to be challenged, otherwise people who have not yet made up their minds on the subject may be deceived, to the Jewish people's detriment.

Some people appear to believe the Jewish people's case speaks for itself, because it is supported by internationally accepted historical facts.
Sadly, people tend to believe the false-claims made by the Palestinian Arabs, in the absence of challenge.
