Counting of the Omer?

Shalom Everyone, I have a question.  What proof is there that the counting of the Omer begins on the morrow after the High Day Shabbat (the 16th), other than tradition?  Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew.

Shalom Everyone, well, I suppose we should show that the PROOF is in the Scriptures.  Please consider what occurred when the Children of Israel ENTERED into the Land, and what they were commanded to do:

Leviticus 23:10-14 Speak to the Israelite people and say to them: When you enter the land that I am giving to you and you reap its harvest, you shall bring the first sheaf (omer) of your harvest to the priest.

11 He shall elevate the sheaf before the LORD for acceptance in your behalf; the priest shall elevate it on the day after the sabbath.

12 On the day that you elevate the sheaf, you shall offer as a burnt offering to the LORD a lamb of the first year without blemish.

13 The meal offering with it shall be two-tenths of a measure of choice flour with oil mixed in, an offering by fire of pleasing odor to the LORD; and the libation with it shall be of wine, a quarter of a hin.

14 Until that very day, until you have brought the offering of your G-d, you shall eat no bread or parched grain or fresh ears; it is a law for all time throughout the ages in all your settlements.

They were commanded FOR ALL TIME to eat NO bread or parched grain or fresh ears UNTIL the OFFERING was made ON the MORROW after the Shabbat.  And low and behold, look what occurred WHEN the Children of Israel ENTERED into the Land and did EAT unleavened bread and parched grain on the MORROW after the Passover Sacrifice, which was offered on the 14th day of the 1st month, making the day that they ATE on, the 15th day of the 1st month (not the 16th day of the 1st month as tradition teaches):

Joshua 5: 10-12 Encamped at Gilgal, in the steppes of Jericho, the Israelites offered the passover sacrifice on the fourteenth day of the month, toward evening.

11 On the day after the passover offering, on that very day, they ate of the produce of the country, unleavened bread and parched grain.

12 On that same day, when they ate of the produce of the land, the manna ceased. The Israelites got no more manna; that year they ate of the yield of the land of Canaan.

So it is very CLEAR, that according to the Tanakh, the 14th day of the 1st month Passover Sacrifice, had to fall on the WEEKLY Shabbat for the Children of Israel to have followed EXACTLY what was commanded in the Torah concerning NOT eating the bread or parched grain UNTIL the "elevated" sheaf had been waved ON the morrow AFTER the Shabbat.  This Shabbat, WHEN the Children of Israel came INTO the land was the WEEKLY Shabbat, not the High Day Shabbat as the tradition has wrong, and THIS Shabbat FELL on the day of the Passover Sacrifice (the 14th).

Also to note, the LXX translators used the Greek word for "fresh" ears in their translation of the Hebrew in describing what was eaten on the morrow after the Passover Sacrifice.  Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew.
