Been interested in Judaism for a long time, planning to convert eventually. I've been keeping Kosher since 2018 but didn't really do it seriously until 2020.
In 2004 or so my father who was a Christian minister in the United Methodist Church started doing a seder. He had previously travelled to Israel and had been constantly incorporating more and more Jewish teachings in his ministry some of which was met with resistance from his congregation.... He used a prayer shaw, was in JfJ, had friends with Messianics but they were a bit dodgy in my opinion.
Back to me having such a lengthy experience in religion and after doing a lot of studying of religious texts I came to the conclusion that Judaism was for me. Wanting to be a Jew by choice I started following the laws. I keep Kosher, take the sabbath off and holy days when I remember to check. I was told by my friends to not get the wrong conversion however I wonder if it matters if I'm not planning on moving to Israel?
Right now I'm gearing up for Pesach but no Seder tray this year from the looks of it. I know some Soviet Jews had it bad doing passover and I have it relatively easy but some things just don't seem to be for sale in West Virginia and I have to shop over in Marietta or Amazon to get a bulk of my supplies outside of fresh water, eggs, vegetables, fruit, salt, etc.

On 4/5/2024 I am writing to the Rabbi of the Rabbonim of the Bais Hora'ah the following query:
Are the following events regarded in the Land of Israel by Torah Jews as forerunners to the comming of the Anointed one and the 3d Temple?
1) The 2004 revival of the Sanhedrin assembly?
2) The recent finding and bringing to Israel of 5 pure red Heifers
3) The Temple Institute to prepare the People of Israel for the arrival of the 3d Temple?
On 4/14/2024 I am writing to the Rabbi of the Rabbonim of the Bais Hora'ah the following query:
Do devout Torah Jews beleive the following is forerunners of the coming of the Anointed one and the appearence of the 3rd Temple?
1) The 2004 revival of the Sanhedrin assembly?
2) Ingathering of Jews communities up to Israel from the galat of Europe; Arab Countries et al?
3) The Formation of the 3rd temple Institute to prepare Jews for the coming of the 3d temple/ANointed one?
4)The appearence of 5 red Hefiers in Israel for Temple scarafice?
5) The realization that of Galat Jews that Israel is the only real and safe home since the current War of Israel-Hamas exposing the fact that Hamas has many spirtual supporters who do not want Jews to live anywhere on this earth-despite the covement made between the L-D and Abraham?
6) the realization of Secular Jews in Israel that the only way their children can live to be Jews..is to live the Torah. Talmund Oral Law in their Lives?
Sincerely
T.F

Hi,
I believe that only no. 6 is similar to the belief that since the 60's when many Jews without any Jewish education began to return to Judaism, also known as the Teshuvah movement, that is a harbinger of the coming of the Messiah when it says at the end of Malachi
"I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord, that he may turn the heart of the fathers back through the children, and the heart of the children back through the fathers"
Please don't hesitate to write back if you have any questions

| Happy Purim! |

Happy Purim to al that celebrate, may we have the strength, courage and wisdom of Esther to make the right decisions to stand against our enemies who try to annihilate us.
After reading through the Megillah I noticed something that generated a question.
In Chapter 5, Verse 14 it says -
And Zeresh his wife and all his friends said, "Let them make a gallows fifty cubits high, and in the morning say to the king that they should hang Mordecai on it, and go to the king to the banquet joyfully." The matter pleased Haman, and he made the gallows.
Then, later in the next chapter it says -
Chapter 6 Verse 13 it says -
And Haman recounted to Zeresh his wife and to all his friends all that had befallen him, and his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him, "If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish stock, you will not prevail against him, but you will surely fall before him."
So my question is - Why did Zeresh tell Haman to make a gallows for Mordecai to hang if she knew that Haman would not prevail against him since he is a Jew?
It seems Zeresh knew Mordecai was Jewish since Mordecai stated so in Verse 13 just before she suggested to hang him -
Chapter 5 Verse 13 -
But all this is worth nothing to me, every time I see Mordecai the Jew sitting in the king's gate."

Could someone please help me? I'm trying to figure out which syllables are stressed. I read that the dot in a letter means it is stressed, but not every word has something like that. The word אַֽהֲבָ֔ה in particular throws me out of rhythm:
כִּֽי־עַזָּ֤ה כַמָּ֨וֶת֙ אַֽהֲבָ֔ה

| Irish Prime Minister explains why Ireland identifies with the Palestinians |

On March 17, 2024 Leo Eric Varadkar, Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of the Republic of Ireland gave a speech in which he said among other things:
Quote:"[...] when I travel the world, leaders often ask me why the Irish have such empathy for the Palestinian people. And the answer is simple: We see our history in their eyes — a story of displacement, of dispossession and national identity questioned and denied, forced emigration, discrimination, and now hunger. [...]"

L. Varadkar:
"the Palestinian people. [...] We [the Irish] see our history in their [the Palestinians] eyes" [... the Palestinian] national identity questioned and denied":
My response:
While the Irish and Arab peoples are both noble peoples of antiquity, the name "Palestinians" refers to those very same Arab people:
Quote:"The Palestinians are those Arab nationals [...]"
Source:
The Amended Palestinian National Charter (1968) - English, Article 5.
Further, by comparison with the Irish people, the Palestinian Arabs claimed to be a "people" only from about 1964:
Quote:“When was the “Palestinian people” actually created? Simply using the Google Ngram Viewer provides the answer.”
[You can use Ngram to do this using the following URL:]

L. Varadkar:
"displacement, of dispossession [...] forced emigration":
My response:
"Displacement" / "Dispossession":
Some Palestinian Arab displacement was due to the civil war the Palestinian Arabs commenced to oppose the United Nations Partition Plan under resolution 181, and in which they sought to take ALL the land and expel the Jews.
There has never been any indigenous "Palestine" or Arab sovereign state in the land of Israel upon which the Palestinian Arabs could base any claim to any part of the land.
"Forced emigration":
The allegation is “Psychological Projection” propaganda . Not only is there no evidence of any policy by Israel/the Jews to expel Arabs, but there is clear evidence the Arabs sought to expel or murder the Jews:
1929 Hebron massacre of Jews:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1929_Hebron_massacre
The Jews expelled from East Jerusalem (“Old City”) by the Jordanians in 1948:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamizati...occupation
Upon Israel becoming Re-established, Arabs were made citizens and there are Israeli Arab lawmakers.
Judaism (“Jew”=citizen of “Judah” is both an ethnicity as well as a religion:
Quote:“[...] Jewish identity is also commonly defined through ethnicity. [...]”
Extract source:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_is_a_Jew%3F
Israel is Re-established within the Jewish ancestral-homeland - Take a look at a map of the last indigenous sovereign state in the land of Israel prior to modern Israel, which was the post-Biblical Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom (including the "West Bank" - land of the previous Jewish Kingdoms of Judah and Samaria), Gaza, and the Golan Heights), with its capital of (what is now "East") Jerusalem; between 110 BCE / 754 BH and 63 BCE / 706 BH:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c...ingdom.jpg
The Palestinian Arabs dropped the name “Arab” because they do not want you to understand they mostly originate from Foreign-Arab-Migrant-Workers who came to the land of Israel just prior to, and during the British Mandate, to take advantage of higher wages through Jewish returnee-exiles:
Quote:“[...] most Arabs in British Mandate Palestine were migrant workers and descendants of the 1832-1947 wave of Arab/Muslim immigration from Egypt, the Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, North Africa, Bosnia, India, Afghanistan, etc. While the British Mandate encouraged Arab immigration, it blocked Jewish immigration.”

84 of 100 of the highest incidence Palestinian surnames (Palestine region in 2004), had highest incidence outside that region:
My extract source document:
“Country Origin of Palestinian Arab Surnames upd.pdf” - information source “forebears.io”:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/9d115bv6w...d.pdf/file
L. Varadkar:
"Discrimination":
My response:
He chooses to ignore the ongoing terrorism by the Palestinian Arabs in particular Fatah ("Palestinian Authority, the"), against Israeli Jewish civilians. It is the consequential Israeli security measures that the Palestinian Arabs complain to the Media as, among other terms: "discrimination".
Example:
Maia Dee, 20, her sister Rina, 15, and their mother, died in the “West Bank” (Judah and Samaria) when their car came under fire from “Palestinian” Arab terrorists; report May 4, 2023:
https://news.sky.com/story/palestinian-g...d-12872594
L. Varadkar:
"Hunger":
My response:
This refers to the current conflict which started with the massacre of Israelis by the Palestinian Arabs - Hamas, on October 7, 2023, during which many Israeli hostages were taken into Gaza. While the Irish Prime Minister also referred to the need to bring the Israeli hostages home, yet he failed to explain why Israel should increase the food aid it is allowing in to Gaza, while Hamas continues to refuse even to provide a list of those Israeli hostages still alive.
By the way, since Hamas purports to provide frequent (unverified though they are) update-figures for Palestinian Arab casualties in Gaza despite the ongoing hostilities that it worked so hard to bring about, it is presumably also therefore capable of providing that list of the hostages.
Why does Ireland (the Republic of Ireland) and more specifically most Irish people, support the "Palestinian" Arabs?
The reason is said to be that the Irish compare the Israelis with the colonial British, having regard to Irish political history:
https://www.npr.org/2024/03/14/123339583...alestinian
However, the predominate religion in Ireland is Catholicism and Catholics know perfectly well from the Bible that the land of Israel is the ancestral-homeland of the Jewish people.
Therefore something does not make logical sense in the Irish preference for the "Palestinian" Arabs!
How then do we explain this: It is anti-Jewish prejudice; anti-Semitism, which appears to work like this: If it has become unfashionable to kick the Jew, then kick the Jews' country Israel.

Has the U.S. Democratic Party become so panicked about its chances in the forthcoming U.S. General Election (Presidential election), that it is now turning on Israel?
Senate Democratic Party Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is quoted as stating (among other things) (March 14, 2024), that:
Quote:"[...] Prime Minister Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel," [...]
Source:
https://www.npr.org/2024/03/14/123855578...-netanyahu
U.S. Democratic Party politicians as most people, may be subject to their emotions when making speeches, and when they make such an unfounded verbal-attack on a country, treating it like a vassal, and making the attack personal against the prime minister of that country, they tend disclose their own emotional state.
Here we see in his speech clearly disclosed that, panicking about the Democratic Party's chances in the upcoming U.S. General Election, Mr. Schumer allows his and his President's political survival, to take precedence over the best interests of Israel.
In a documentary I saw some time ago the name of which I cannot now recall, two bison are shown running across a snowy landscape trying to escape from a pack of wolves, when the one panicking-bison interested only in its own survival, rams the other causing it to fall.
It is now time for U.S. Politicians to decide; whether they are:
A friend of Israel in its time of need?
Or,
merely a fair-weather-friend.
The speech is unfortunate since there is already agreement in principle, on a way to proceed; namely that i understand Israel intends to provide reasonable safety for civilians out of the Barbarian Hamas terrorist bastion of Rafah, prior to taking military action there:
https://apnews.com/article/israel-hamas-...e41591aadf
It would not make sense for the U.S. to seek as their actions are now apparently attempting to do, to preserve the existence of Hamas; an enemy likewise to the U.S. as to Israel.
