The Christian New Testament has plenty of seeds of antisemitism, some more full-grown than others. And the traditional Christian interpretations of their Old Testament is decidedly warped in favor of a Christian re-interpretation. Together, these tendencies have yielded a terrible societal prejudice against Jews often resulting in terrible violent murderous treatment of Jewish people. In its origins, however, the New Testament animosity toward 'Judaism' may have developed out of some limited persecution of early Christians by Jewish authorities. That in no way excuses or minimizes the horrible Christian crimes against Jews over the centuries. But it may help us better understand some of the New Testament writings in context.

Aren't there harsh words in the Hebrew Bible and in the Christian Bible?

So here's mine, we have tolerated this garbage for centuries Gentiles that we have befriended are now enemies, Muslims even those living within our boarders have turned and done us great harm the American party we have supported was never really allied with us and is now openly antisemitic. From the inception of the higher education system, we have contributed greatly my-self included now we have yet again been pushed out. From the 1920's forward the same institutions we provided intellectual material to have cavorted with communist Nazis and now pro Hamas supporters and the American government is dictating terms to Netanyahu while democrats openly support terrorists in Iran Gaza Gollan Lebanon Yemen and Syria. 
I have no good word for Gentile's period or their so-called biblical text. We need to unite and stand against this and stop tip toeing around the obvious before we cease to exist as a people. One last thought, peace at any cost is not peace.

I didn't know about the Jewish attitude towards Christians and people you call Gentiles before I came here. Apart from your fathers I see no real difference between Jews and Non-Jews in behavior and godliness that would justify a moral superiority. It's really challenging for me to keep a friendly attitude towards the Jewish people when I read about your negative thoughts about Gentiles and Christians (I think you mean us when you speak about "their so-called bibical text"). It's really sad that you leave no door open.

I would say this line is a little harsh as it pertains to a whole group not certain individuals. Not all Gentiles are against Jews or Judaism. Some may do things purposely while other may be sincere with their good intentions.

Don't forget, Noahides are Gentiles.

I don't believe we will cease to exist as a people. We've stood the test of time over and over again. No, it hasn't been easy and it never will be. That's what it is to be a Jew.

I think you may be doing something similar here, putting all Jews in one category. Where does "moral superiority" fit in here on this forum? Do we defend our Torah, yes. Do we have superiority over others, absolutely not.

To know people, no matter who they are, or from what background or religion, if any. they belong to, is to know their heart. Yes, we may have different beliefs and disagree on many things, but that doesn't mean all are unfriendly or bad people.

Challenging, yes. But it would be more challenging not to have a friendly attitude towards the Jewish people.

Is there any place in the Christian bible where the Jewish people are portrayed in a positive light?

I see many, many places where they are said to do things wrong, but don't know of any places where it is said they do things right.

In Revelation 21, in the New Jerusalem, on the New earth,  after this current world has been destroyed (over a thousand years from now) ....

Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

In the near term,  what is going to happen is that the Jewish messiah that Jews are looking for (someone other than Jesus) is going to come into the land of Israel following the Gog/Magog event.

He will be perceived as being the Jewish messiah, and anointed the King of Israel.  (the person is called the Antichrist in Christian eschatology).

He will make a big speech from the temple mount (freed of the Muslim presence) that the land of Israel belongs to the children of Israel as theirs forever.     That speech begins the 7 year 70th week of Daniel 9:27 as his speech confirms the Mt. Sinai covenant.

At the same time, Revelation 11 says that there will be two witnesses preaching in Jerusalem.   Part of what they will be saying is that the person is not the real messiah, don't trust him.

About 3 years go by as the world is saying "peace and safety" thinking it has entered the messianic age.

When totally unexpectedly, the Antichrist stops the daily sacrifice, goes into the temple, sits, and claims to have achieved God-hood.     It will mortify the Jewish people, and they will realize their mistake.    End of the person's time as the King of Israel as the Jewish people will reject him and his claim.

It is then in Revelation 12:10, that the Jewish people, counter missionaries many of them at present, will turn to Jesus and the gospel of salvation.

In Daniel 12:7, it will be a time of duress for the Jewish people for the remainder of he seven years.   Called the great tribulation in Matthew 24:15-21.

In Zechariah 14, Jesus returns to rescue the Jewish people who manage to survive that time.    And the true messianic age begins.    When Jesus will bring all the Jews back to the land of Israel.   Matthew 24:31.   Ezekiel 39:28.   Deuteronomy 30:1-6.

This is why I have a lot of patience with non-Christian and counter-missionary Jews, because I know that the turning to Jesus en masse is still in the future, about 3 years after the Gog/Magog event.

So yes, your messiah in the Jewish concept of messiah, is soon to come.   But by being informed of the above, just be watchful.
