I would agree fully with your views, if we could credit the E.U. for being the competent and credible entity of which it has never been. Let's not forget that Jews also make up a certain percentage of E.U. representative ministers. If any of them were to detect intentional anti-Semitism, you could be assured that they wouldn't remain silent.
I'm assuming that there are certain economic interests within the E.U. who are using the "Palestinian" issue for either personal economic gain or for that of certain entities of which they represent. Keeping neighboring Arabs happy insures that contracts between E.U. resident companies and Arab customers continue. Saudi Arabia still being the most pampered client of them all. Even though, neighboring Arabs don't particularly care for the "Palestinians", they tend to become suddenly volatile, once non-Arabs begin agressing against them.
