The root אמן only in the hithpael stem means "to teach". BUT in Esther 2:7 it is in the Qal stem, which, in that stem, it means "to be faithful, to confirm, to support".
To say it another way, the same root can appear in many verbal stems (there are atleast 8 stems), and in each stem it has a different meaning/nuance.
