Hello,
Thank you for sharing the links. The Sanhedrin's recent ruling calling for all Jews worldwide to return to Israel is a significant development with deep historical and spiritual resonance. It's a powerful call to action that aligns with the ancient dream of Jewish unity and the restoration of the Jewish people to their homeland. The Sanhedrin's declaration serves as a reminder of the eternal connection between the Jewish people and the land of Israel. It invites us to reflect on our own spiritual journeys and consider the role we play in the unfolding of history.

Phinehas lost his priestly dignity because he refused to save the daugther of Jeph¬ thah "But he said proudly : “ What ! I, a high priest, the son of a high priest, should humiliate myself and go to an ignoramus ! ”  Is this A warning that those who pride themselves on their Torah knowledge should not withold it from teaching Torah to those Jews who were never taught to live the Torah in their daily lives?

Hello,
Yes, this story serves as a warning against pride and the withholding of Torah knowledge. Phinehas lost his high-priestly dignity due to his haughty behavior towards Jephthah. The rabbis place blame on Phinehas for not preventing Jephthah from fulfilling his misguided vow. This incident highlights the importance of sharing Torah knowledge, even with those less educated.
The Midrash teaches that both Phinehas and Jephthah were punished for their pride. Phinehas lost the divine spirit that had previously rested upon him, while Jephthah became ill and lost many of his limbs. This outcome emphasizes the severe consequences of allowing arrogance to prevent the sharing of crucial Torah knowledge.
This cautionary tale reminds us that those well-versed in Torah have a responsibility to teach and guide others, regardless of their perceived status or knowledge level. It underscores the importance of humility and the obligation to share wisdom with all Jews, especially those who may lack a strong foundation in Torah observance.

While in the past Jewish generations have had to deal with negative sterotypes coming from non jews [example James Michner's fictional novel of Israel "The Source" showing a negative view of Rabbis who interpet the Talmud without humility] today what advice can you give to Jewish persons who are confronted on the one hand by fanatic anti Zionist Jews and on the other hand by the PLO propaganda machine who both compare Israel as being Modern Nazis[!] for the past year since 7 October 2023 murderous attacks?

Hi ,
Like you said, there always was and there always will be Jew-haters in the world. The best and most productive solution in dealing with them is to ignore them completely. There is nothing to be gained by engaging with them, and the less airtime we give them the better.

The total of living Jews in Syria number three still alive.I have trouble understanding How can Syria merit a Torah Scroll when for over 80 years it has been one of the intractable enemies of Israel...should it instead to given to the rements of theJewish Community from Syria in Israel rather than into the hands of the goy?

I don't know anything about the story you're referring to, but obviously a Torah scroll doesn't belong to a "location" but to a community.

My Reply:
My own feelings

Unforenetly they going back down to "Egypt" for since 1947 Syria has proved to be the most Nazi Arab Country Against Israel......Such as the killing of Jews trying to flee to Israel and refusing to retuen the bodies of MIA Israel soliders........Moses and Joshua had warned the Jews never to go back down to Egypt....It will only be a matter of time when Ishamel Hatred Of Jewish Brethern reeserts themslevs... Frankly I dont usely pray..but I did make a small prayer to the L-D that he give understanding that those going back down to Egypt/Syria will understand the fact the only way of Safety for Jews in the lands of Ishamel {Arab countries} is to live In Israel Yet they have made their choice and they must live with it.................. on 2/26/2025 sent the following query to Ask A Rabbi Chabbad:#6511131:
Ive read accounts..of places in Europe years after the Shoah where a former Jewish community is just one person..who is known when their obituary names them as "Last Jew in Town  dies..." In most cases the rements of the communty have relized the message from the L-d that the only way for the community to survive as Jews is to go up to Israel to live as Jews. Why is there this  attitude of those holdouts who will not leave galat and go up to Israel? I find it puzzeling.
Answer 2/26/2025 answer
B"H
Hello,
Thank you for raising this poignant and thought-provoking question. The image of a single individual remaining in a once-vibrant Jewish community, the "last Jew in town," is indeed a powerful and somber one. I, too, find it puzzling.
You've touched upon a crucial point: the sense that, after the Shoah, the survival of Jewish communities is inextricably linked to returning to Israel. The call to "go up" to Israel, to build a Jewish future in our ancestral homeland, seems clear and compelling.
Yet, as you point out, there are those who choose to remain in the Diaspora, even when they are the sole representatives of a vanished community. It begs the question: why?
Change is always difficult. Leaving one's home, even a home marked by tragedy, is a significant step. Perhaps it's a sense of attachment to the familiar, a reluctance to let go of the last vestiges of a past life. Perhaps it's fear of the unknown, or a feeling that they are honoring the memory of those who perished by remaining where they lived.
Or, perhaps, there are other, more complex reasons that we cannot fully understand.
How might you explain this phenomenon? What are your thoughts on the motivations of those who choose to remain? I'm interested to hear your perspective.

Modern attempts to reveive the Paschal Lamb sacrafice  Wikipedia
In 2007, a group of rabbis including Adin Steinsalz and other members of the New Sanhedrin Council supported by the Temple Mount Faithful identified a Kohen who was a butcher, made plans for conducting a Passover sacrifice on the Temple Mount, and petitioned the Israeli High Court of Justice for permission. The Court sided with the government and rejected the request, holding that such an event would inflame religious tensions and would threaten security. The incident was a successor to a series of earlier attempts by various groups to perform such a sacrifice, either openly or by subterfuge.[4][5]
In 2008, the animal rights group Let the Animals Live (Tnoo Lachayot Lichyot in Hebrew) founded in 1986,[6][7] sued the Temple Institute, claiming its conduct of a practice Passover sacrifice demonstration would constitute animal cruelty. An Israeli court rejected the claim.[8]
In 2016, Jewish activists pushing for a third temple in Jerusalem attempted to ascend the Temple Mount carrying baby goats intended to be used as Passover sacrifices on Friday afternoon, as they do every year. Jerusalem police detained ten suspects in the Old City for interrogation, and seized four sacrificial goat kids. Among those arrested were Kach activist Noam Federman, who attempts to make the sacrifice every year, and Rafael Morris, an activist in the Temple Mount Faithful movement.[citation needed]
The annual attempt to ascend the Temple Mount to perform the sacrifice in 2022 spawned widespread rumours of Jewish extremists supposedly planning to enter the Al-Aqsa Compound, where Jews are heavily restricted from entering and Jewish prayer is forbidden, inciting a riot which ultimately led to the 2022 Al-Aqsa Mosque storming"
In conclusion I can only comment when the 3d Temple appears
There will be two reactions
Devout Jews will start the sacrafice again
There will be a howl of rage from those whose deepest fear has come about...the 3rd Temple is evidence  of the existenceof the L-d; it will be going to be permenent and Jews will worship there

In view of the Sanhedrin ruling about selling or even renting any portion of the Land of Israel by Jews to non Jews https://www.thesanhedrin.org/en/index.ph...5769_Av_23  would the punishment of Kareth be applicable not just for this actions but for other actions as well such as:1) Jews in galat instead of renting land buy land in defience of a rabbanic decree the principal being that Galat Jews should not forget they are in Exhile from the LAnd of Israel? 2) deliberting Marrying Non Jews as spouces  resulting in offspring who will not be raised Jewish religion and do not become part of a Torah Jewish Community? 3) Choosing to not keep themselves apart from non jews but assiliating themselves so as to be very much like non jews?
