This reminds me of the importance of making a Family Tree of one's own family, and combining it with any available photographs. Of consulting the oldest members of the family so that at least one photograph of each adult person on the Family Tree should be properly identified, and placed on the Family Tree next to the person's name. 

Doing this is a service of respect not only to those who have passed, but for those who are to come forth.
