| Question about Ashkenazi Ancestry |

Hello,
I am from Canada and I took a DNA test. My DNA test came back 100% European BUT advised I am 2% Ashkenazi Jewish. I am having a difficult time understanding this. The DNA test advised I most likely had a great grand parent that was 100% Ashkenazi Jewish. What does this mean? Is this meaning one of my ancestors left the Jewish homeland of Israel and moved to Europe?
Thank you so much!
Marie

I am an outsider, but curious about that.
I've read on Wikipedia that Hebrew in Biblical times was pronounced completely differently than it is today, for example the letter Vav was pronounced like English "W", and the letters Teth and Koph were pronounced like ejective consonants [t'] and [k'] like ones found in Amharic or some Native American languages.
My question is: when Hebrew was brought back to life, why wasn't the original pronunciation restored in the State of Israel?

I hate December because I can't go anywhere without getting the gospel rubbed in my face. I feel so isolated too.
I also get reminded of how the Christians have stolen the Tanakh!
