  Jewish Leadership moral responisiblty
Posted by: Nooone - 04-22-2021, 12:26 PM - Forum: Judaism General - No Replies

Recently on Chabad I wrote to Ask A Rabbi the following Query:

Actually I do have a question about moral leadership of a Jewish Community outside of Israel:  I came across a grim Jewish Jewish joke

about a man who refuses rescue three times  to flee from a flood saying The L-d will save me.He dies and complains to the L-d that the

L-d didnt rescue him; the L-d responded that three times he was offered the chance of rescue bu didnt listen...observation from the

fall of the 2nd Temple to the present Jewish communites outside of the Land of Israel are in danger of physical anniliation  {As recently

happened to the Jews of Yemen when they were expelled from Yemen after living their since the time of King Solomon] the query is this...When there are clear signs that a Jewish Community in galat is going to be destroyed..and their only chance of life is to flee to Land of

Israel...and yet the leaders of said community restrain them from going and refuse to Go Up to Israel...do they bear the moral

responibilty before the L-d for not choosing Life for their community?

This answear I received April 22,2021
Your question is based on the assumptions that;

1 - It was obvious that they were facing physical annihilation (beyond what we had experienced over our history).

2 - Going to Eretz Yisroel was possible and would have saved them from said annihilation.

You certainly know the saying that "hindsight is 20-20." While from our perspective the argument can be made that those two things were true, (and there may have been some who predicted so at the time), it is not correct to say that the actions of those rabbis was unreasonable.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

All the best,

  Truth Jonathan Pollard
Posted by: Nooone - 04-21-2021, 01:47 PM - Forum: Israel - No Replies

Jonathan Pollard served an usally severve sentence of nearly 30 years 1987-2015 after spying for Israel. In fact Pollard had not exposed American Spies in the USSR (they were exposed by [[Aldrich Ames]] of the CIA; [[Robert Hannsen]] of the FBI and the Walker Spy Ring) but Pollard had given the Israelis the fact that the US Government was paying the Saudis to support Arab terrorist groups such as [[Osama Bin Laden]] to fight the USSR in Afghanistan since 1984 and then to have the Saudis keeping paying these groups off.

  Jewish yearig for Jerusalem
Posted by: Nooone - 04-21-2021, 09:48 AM - Forum: Israel - No Replies

A few dats ago I asked ASk a Rabbi Question i asked the fact the Jewish Communites outside of Israel had named their Communites Jerusalem  for example Vilna Lithanuania was called this because of the Jewish Scholarship the query was by their naming their communites such as New Jerusalem were they distracting from the fact Jerusalem Israel is the one and only undevidable capital of Jews around the World?
On April 20,2021 i received the following answear:

Thank you for your question.

Even while calling their respective homes or centers of Jewish learning "Jerusalem" the Jewish people continued to pray countless times a day to be returned to our Holy Land and the actual Jerusalem. They named those places Jerusalem in recognition of the fact that Jerusalem is not just a physical place but a spiritual reality where G-d's presence is openly experienced. They were expressing their yearning to be brought back to our home. These cities of Torah study were places that served as points of spiritual light within the darkness of exile.

If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

  Dealing with a wicked son....
Posted by: Nooone - 04-19-2021, 03:38 PM - Forum: Judaism General - Replies (4)

Recently I wrote to ASK a Rabbi the following question and I wish to share the reply 19 April 2021

Question:How does a devout Jewish Couple deal with a eternal rebellious child as an example the child in question from birth has been eternally rebellious aginst everything Jewish...even to the extent of marrying a non Jewish spouse and moving to a country where Jews are not generally welcome..the parents see from News reports of Jewish mistreatment; the non jewish spouse is sensible and flees with the children to the jewish grandparents-however the rebellious child refuses to go confident that as he/she has chossen cultural assimilation he/she will not be harmed. Now this refers to a fictional senerico but the question is What could the parents have done to their child to make he/she understand that only by taking the Iron Yoke of the Torah and not rebelling against the Word of the L-d?

Thank you for contacting us.  Please have a look at this article https://www.aish.com/h/pes/h/When-Your-Child-is-the-Wicked-Son.html

Why Esau was different from Jacob [Israel]
Posted by: Nooone - 04-17-2021, 11:30 AM - Forum: Judaism General - Replies (2)

Recently I went to a Ask a Rabbi website with a question about Esau:
Here is the answear I received 16 April 2021

Question:
Easu despite his sins was indeed Jewish. what turned him against the Jewish Faith?

Hi,

Great question.

It's interesting to note that the difference between the personalities of Jacob and Esau seem to be have been rooted from very early in life and even before birth, but yet it didn't become apparent until they became young adults at the age of 13.

We find in the Torah that their mother had a difficult pregnancy and that she was already foretold then they would separate to different paths, as it says (Genesis 25:23), "And the Lord said to her.. '..from your womb they will separate..'", and Rashi explains there, "this one to his wickedness, and this one to his innocence".

The Midrash takes it a step further and explains that already during her pregnancy (quoted in Rashi, ibid. 25:22), "When she passed by the entrances of [the] Torah [academies] of Shem and Eber, Jacob would run and struggle to come out; when she passed the entrance of [a temple of] idolatry, Esau would run and struggle to come out."

We also find in the Torah that as soon as they emerged from the womb, it was already apparent that they were different, as it says (ibid. 25:25), "And the first one emerged with a reddish-appearance; he was completely like a coat of hair, and they named him Esau", and as Rashi explains there, "That is a sign that he will be a person who sheds blood."

Nonetheless, the Torah says that they didn't actually separate until they became young adults, as it says (ibid. 25:27), "And the youths grew up, and Esau was a man who understood hunting, a man of the field, whereas Jacob was an innocent man, dwelling in tents."

The Midrash explains there that until age 13, they both "went to school each day and returned from school each day", it was only from age 13 and on that "this one went to the study halls and this one went to the houses of idol worship". It gives a parable there of two different types of flowers, which both begin to grow next to each other, and yet their different scents only begin to emerge after they fully blossom. Similarly, the commentaries there explain, that even when two people are born with inborn traits that are different, some of these traits may remain dormant during childhood and may only emerge as they blossom into young adults. For this reason, the Midrash goes on to say, a parent is responsible for the child's action's until 13 but not after. - Genesis Rabbah 63:10

In summary, it seems that Esau was born with an inborn pull towards idolatry, but nonetheless, as a child he was still under the influence of the upright environment in which he grew up. As he became a young adult of 13, his inborn character traits began to emerge, and thus the influence of his familial environment weakened, and he began to abandon the Jewish practice he grew up with.

For two years he was able to hide it somewhat, and it only became more apparent as he turned 15, which is when he also began to commit more serious sins. For this reason Abraham died then, so that he shouldn't see his grandson Esau visibly abandon his path. It was then that he sold the birthright and his path in life became more solidified. - Genesis Rabbah and Etz Yosef there, and Chizkuni, ibid. 25:27

The Midrash goes on to intimate that his grandfather's death at age 15 was a turning point in his life, that when Esau saw the pot of lentils that his brother was cooking and discovered that it was because Abraham had died and the lentils were to mourn the dead, he asked, "Did the attribute of judgement fall upon this old man?", to which Jacob replied, "Yes". Esau then said, "If so, there is no punishment and reward and no resurrection of the dead."

The commentaries there explain that Esau viewed this world as the most important one, and therefore when he died at a younger age than the previous generations which lived to very long ages he told himself that it doesn't make sense that such a righteous man as his grandfather would not be able to live out his full lifespan in this world. This caused him to deny the very concept of punishment and reward from above.

See here for more about for an interesting article about the life journey of Esau, based on Judaic sources..

See here for a deeper understanding of Esau according to the Chasidic interpretation, and how is inborn pull towards idolatry was not a contradiction to his free choice and even not towards his Jewish identity..

Hope this is helpful.

What will the Jewish Messiah be like?
Posted by: Blue Bird - 04-15-2021, 06:09 PM - Forum: Judaism General - Replies (25)

I would like to get an impression of who the expected Jewish Messiah is.

It looks like all Jews agree that Jesus isn't their Messiah. Is it also clear who he will be? Which are the scriptures that are important here?

Please don't refer to Jesus. Otherwise I have a hard time figering out what the Jewish Messiah is like.

It's like having 2 cars, of which I only see one. All I know about the other is, that it has not those wheels and the colour is totally different. And by the way, the size is much bigger.

How important is he?
How do you make sure that it is not a false Messiah (here I refer to Revelation 13 in the Christian bible)?
When will he come and what exactly will he do?

Off topic: I wish Israel a happy 73rd Independence Day!

ISrael Future Right now? A theroy
Posted by: Nooone - 04-11-2021, 12:46 PM - Forum: Israel - Replies (2)

A thought....on Future of the Middle East.....
What Superpower is striving for dominating the Middle East......and will last longer?
Russia will try...but her client States will probably be Syria..and possibly Egypt...
USA    will try...but  still trying to use the Old British Empire policy of making Israel,, the Arab Middle and Arab Far east countires   as to one PAX UNited States  Commonwealth  will fail....
The Answear...will be Mainland China.....(See below)
The Middle East Counties...
Egypt will stagger along...held up by US; USSR and China...but will  turn more Islamic....and anti-western
Iraq....see ditto  for Syria fate....
Israel  (Thanks to Obama non vote in the UN Vote against Israel) will find itself politically isolated from the rest of the World...to survive Israel must expel all hostile anti-Israeli Arab communities to Jordan; and just as importantly rebuild all Jewish Settlements destroyed in the name of Peace; make the survivors of the few Jewish Communities left in Arab/muslin counties  realize that their only hope for survival is to Go Up to Israel; Israel shall adopt have an unrestricted open door policy for all Jews in Galut to come up to Israel. Israel must also .abandon all false Promises of Peace by hostile neighboring countries and sign no convents with those enemies; and last but not least Israel must abandoned Ben Gurion policy that the "West" would come to Israel rescue in case of all out attack by Arab States..[The one time that did happen when the US did this so Israel wouldn't become involved in The Gulf Wars...Israeli lives were lost (not all anti Israeli missiles were shot down by US Artillery] and that All of Israel must turn to trust in L-D mind; body and soul totally without arguing with the L-D. {For the Record Israel is never to trust the UN on anything-case in point the UN had an extensive Archives of World War II War criminals--yet Israel was only allowed access to this archive just....once in 1961 for the Adolf Eichmann; in 1985 Israel was finally allowed by the UN Total access to these records  40 years after WW II ended. Who knows how many War Criminals escaped Justice and trials  by Israel..all because of the UN the masters of do-nothing]
Jordan  will probably become a 99% Palestine state  to be used by superpowers against Israel..but .trusted by none.
Saudi Arabia  will probably collapse.
Syria will be a client state of Russia but will be in a never ending state of chaos.
Turkey will seize more Land from Syria and oppress Armenians within its border. Their Policy will try to regain that the dominating Middle East as they did under the 700 year old Ottoman Empire.
And then of Course is Iran will do What ISIS  Failed to do...it will put themselves as a Islamic Country those constitution is the Koran . Iran will represent as "Liberating" The entire Arab Middle East from "Corrupt" Western Influences"  it will be that heir of both Political and Religious leadership of all Muslins which started with the Prophet Muhammad.
 Any why not ?
Iran population is over 83.000,000
They have a large supply of Oil
The US Agreed to end restrictions on Iran investments abroad in return for the return of embassy hostages after 444 days.
They also have atomic power.... because unlike the Iraqi Nuclear reactor which was destroyed by Israel the Iran reactor was not attacked because.....Why Right-Wingers Are So Angry That Israel Hasn't Bombed ...

Its first major aim will be the destruction of Israel..which because of the indifference  of the United Nations which has given Iran  the "Moral Go ahead  TO DO JUST THAT. And after Israel it will be the turn of the rest of the Arab nations. and  the West will be subject to a Holy Crusade of Jihad.

Ironic when Israel tries to live she is Condemned by the whole World
Yet when Iran announces its intention to destroy Israel..the UN Does nothing
