For those who are interested, this is where we currently stand. You can always check out our streams on YouTube under “Live” [link]. This includes a playlist with all of our Psalms readings, another with all of our Joshua readings, and another with all of our Hebrew-to-English translation sessions from Weingreen. We also have an unlisted playlist of the English-to-Hebrew translation exercises for our Patreon users.

🕔 First Hour

      Mondays at 5:00pm (Eastern US)
      [Midnight in Israel]

During the “first hour,” we have been doing Hebrew readings and discussion of relevant grammar and vocab from the passage. Recently, we read through the first ten chapters of the book of Joshua, and since then we have been reading non-systematically through the Psalms. Today (Dec 2), we will be reading sections ע and פ of Psalm 119 (that is, verses 121–136). The reading schedule is posted on our Patreon page as an open post. Notice that the schedule is tentative. We may add more readings to the Psalms list as we go along.

🕕 Second Hour

      Mondays at 6:00pm (Eastern US)
      [1:00am in Israel]

In our “second hour,” we have worked through the Hebrew-to-English translation exercises from Jacob Weingreen’s A Pratical Grammar for Classical Hebrew (Oxford, 1959). We are finishing this grammar today (Dec 2) and plan on starting a new Beginning Biblical Hebrew 101 course through C.L. Seow’s A Grammar for Biblical Hebrew, Rev. Ed. (Abingdon, 1995). We’re waiting to hear back from them about what we can show online from the book. If you want to participate with us, purchase the book from Amazon.com or another provider and be ready to start next Monday (Dec 9).

🕖 Third Hour — For Our Patreon Users

      Mondays at 7:15pm (Eastern US)
      [2:15am in Israel]

In our “third hour,” we devote a special time to our Patreon users, representing the most challenging and rewarding element of our projects. We have worked through all of the English-to-Hebrew translation exercises in Weingreen’s grammar and will be finishing today (Dec 2). Next week we will begin a new project that will pull sections from the Bible that you will be asked to have read beforehand. We will read the sections together and go through some parts of it in a mostly audio-reactionary way. This is something new that we haven’t done before, and we hope for success with it!

🕗 Fourth Hour — Private Hour

      Mondays at 8:00pm (Eastern US)
      [3:00am in Israel]

Our “fourth hour” is not open to the public. It is a pre-arranged study of a determined topic for a closed group. Maybe next time around!

We do hope you’ll join us at youtube.com/@thehebrewcafe to participate in our live chat audience.

Also, we can always be reached on Discord at thehebrewcafe.com/discord.

See you around in one of our activities!
